Advances in digital signage will be explored through a number of education sessions at the event

The event is expecting to welcome 1,000 exhibitors and 44,000 visitors to the show, which takes place at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, Florida and is organised by trade association AVIXA which represents the AV industry worldwide.

In partnership with Invidis Consulting, the association will bring a digital signage education programme to the show, featuring five sessions that explore how to enter new markets with digital signage, taking a closer look at transportation and smart cities.

“Digital signage is a very healthy market for AV firms to put energy behind,” says Sean Wargo, senior director of market intelligence at AVIXA. “The solution segment is forecast to reach $34 billion in revenue for 2019 and grow to $45 billion by 2024 globally.

“Digital signage’s ability to disseminate timely and accurate information to enhance the customer experience is gaining traction in high-growth markets such as restaurants, banking, retail, healthcare, and hospitality facilities.”

Matrox, which is making its debut at the show, has outlined its plans to showcase a number of IP-based products including quad 4K enterprise encoders, remote recorder appliances, 4K capture/encode/decode and multiviewer cards, as well as a new line of video wall products.

Tripleplay will also be in attendance, showcasing new features for its enterprise IPTV, video streaming and digital signage platform.

Executive vice president for the North American business, Paul Harris, comments: “Tripleplay has already established a presence in the North American AV market and is looking forward to demonstrating our world-class technology.

“We also have our hugely popular new feature; Multiview, which allows 4 streams to be shown on 1 screen. We believe the solutions we are displaying this year in Orlando will strengthen our position as a global leader in the industry.”
