Taking place at FESPA Global Print Expo 2019 between May 14th and 17th in Munich, Germany, the wrappers will compete in heats across the event. Participants from 12 countries including the United Kingdom, Japan, Hungary, Italy, Mexico and South Africa will compete by wrapping cars and a variety of items in a series of timed competitions.

Kick starting the event is the Wrap Masters Europe regional qualifying event. Taking place on May 14th and 15th, up to 40 wrappers will compete to be crowned European Wrap Master. Once crowned, the European Wrap Master will go up against regional winners from FESPA Africa, FESPA Mexico, FESPA Eurasia, Asia Print Expo and FESPA Brasil in the final.

The final stage of the competition will take place across May 16th and 17th where the items in which competitors are expected to wrap will become increasingly challenging.

Crowning the 2019 wrap champion will be Hungary’s Kiss Lajos of Fixfolia – a vehicle wrap expert and twice world champion. Along with Germany’s Martina Lorenz of AQASIO Folienverklebung is USA’s Jeremy Conner, owner of Who Did That!?! and Spain’s Carlos Ruiz.

Commenting on the upcoming event, head judge Kiss Lajos says: “I’m really looking forward to the Wrap Masters events in Munich this year. The Wrap Masters Europe competition always features a high level of skill and dedication and I can’t wait to see the winners of the other regional events in the Series come together and compete for the title of World Wrap Master 2019.

“To ensure we keep the competition fresh and exciting year-on-year, this year will see a new design applied to the vehicles as well as some updates to the tasks we set the contestants in the creative rounds.”

The competition will take place on stand P40 in hall A4 at Messe Munich, Germany.
