Epson revels in record sales after The Print Show

Epson has hailed its appearance at The Print Show 2018 as a success, revealing that in the two months following the event, it experienced record sales of its SureColor SC-S signage range of printers.

Epson has had a presence at The Print Show since the event’s debut edition back in 2015

The digital print giant enjoyed a presence at the event for the fourth consecutive year, taking one of the larger stands at the NEC in September.

Epson used The Print Show as a platform to promote its SureColor SC-S portfolio of machines, which it says are suitable for a wide array of applications.

Phil McMullin, sales manager for ProGraphics at Epson UK, says The Print Show seemingly boosted interest in the technology, revealing a spike in sales over the past couple of months.

“Sales of these units since the show have been outstanding; in fact, we have had two consecutive record months,” McMullin says, adding: “Not all of these sales can be directly attributed to the show, but we certainly gain from the general exposure, and pre- and post show coverage.”

Given that we expect to have some exciting new additions to our range in 2019, I would very much like to be at the event

McMullin also praised the quality of visitors that were in attendance at the NEC, saying Epson was able to enjoy a series of “quality conversations” with both new and existing customers during the event.

“We had a steady stream of visitors on our stand over three days and this gave us time to have some in-depth and quality conversations with serious buyers,” he says.

Looking ahead to the 2019 show, McMullin is keen for Epson to maintain the momentum that it has built up in the first four years and return one again.

He says: “Given that we expect to have some exciting new additions to our range in 2019, I would very much like to be at the event.”
