Vivid Effects

Vivid Laminating Technologies came to Drupa in all its orange glory, complete with a brand new wide-format foiling laminator and a variety of special effects foils, including the new Boss Premium Foil range for metallized effects. Lewis Evans, Vivid’s product manager, spoke to us at the show.

The power of small

One of the most hotly-anticipated launches was that of Landa’s nanography technology, having been announced at the previous Drupa in 2012. Gerry Mulvaney, European sales manager for Landa, takes us through the possibilities the innovative tech can offer.

Taking more than a stand

Not content with just a booth, HP took on an entire hall of Messe Dusseldorf at Drupa 2016, filling it with all its key brands including PageWide, Scitex, Indigo, and Latex. Gido van Praag, HP EMEA’s general manager of graphic solutions, tells us more.

Get in the zone

Like many big hitters at Drupa, Epson focused on applications, laying out its stand in zones to allow customers to explore the technology most relevant to them. UK sales manager Phil McMullin takes us through the Epson booth and the new kit on display.

Opening new worlds

Ricoh came to Drupa with a wealth of technology, including the new Ricoh Pro VC60000, splitting its sizeable stand into zones such as the Commercial Printing Zone, Publishing Zone, and Industrial Zone. We spoke to Graham Moore, director of Ricoh EMEA, at the show.

Applications, applications, applications

Continuing on from a runaway success at FESPA Digital, Mimaki aimed to surpass expectation again at Drupa. The company’s EMEA marketing manager Mike Horsten talks about the UV solutions on show, as well as details of its foray into 3D printing.
