The awards celebrate the best products and innovative developments in the digital printing market.

The SureColor SC-P20000, which was launched in January, prints at a resolution of 2,400 x 1,200 dpi and incorporates Epson’s PrecisionCore MicroTFP print head. It is said to ‘combine super-fast printing speeds with superior photo quality’, making it the ideal printer for high volume commercial printers, copy shops, photo labs, and high street photo outlets.

“This printer combines new rapid printing speeds with the same high output quality that Epson customers have come to expect, while delivering a range of new features and enhanced usability” says Kristin Saus-Opuszynski, European senior business manager of Epson Europe.

She continues: “The EDP Awards recognise innovations that make a difference in the digital print sector, so to receive an award for the SC-P20000 is an achievement we are extremely proud of.”

Epson works closely with Royal Academy Schools, which recently held an exhibition to show their artworks, several of which were created using Epson large-format printers.

The schools have an on-site Epson Digital Suite, housed within its historic studio spaces, which provides students with the chance to experiment and create their artwork with the very latest in Epson digital imaging technology.
