Due to take place at the NEC in Birmingham from October 11th to 13th, the event is gathering plenty of momentum and attracting widespread interest from across the industry. In addition to signing up a raft of new exhibitors, organisers have confirmed a number of companies that were in attendance at the inaugural event last year will return for the show this year.

The event has also attracted a number of core suppliers to the UK sign and wide-format print industries, such as Signmaster Systems, Grafityp, Spandex, Colourbyte, OKI, The Magic Touch, Ultima Displays, and Antalis.

Its additional attraction for the wide-format print and sign community though is the immense array of commercial print and finishing technology on show that ranges from SRA3 digital printers, through speciality finishing technology, to offset litho technology.

“Sign-makers and wide-format print specialists can come and investigate the technology and services that could help them diversify into offering services like business cards, brochures, menus, booklets, and flyers,” says Chris Davies, event director of The Print Show.

He adds: “These are just a few of the products that are simple to produce for a business that is just starting up in this area, and allows a sign-maker for instance to cross sell. For instance, when they get an order from a restaurant for new advertising banners, they could pick up their menu, stationery, and small-format point-of-sale printing jobs.”

Representing one of the most diversified brands at the show, Vivid Laminating Technologies was one of the first exhibitors to confirm its return to The Print Show this year. Opening up about the decision to exhibit once again, David Smith, marketing communications manager at Vivid, cited the show’s ability to connect exhibitors with relevant audiences as one of the main reasons behind its return this year.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to meet face-to-face with printers and sign-makers that are actually using our kit, gain their feedback, and perhaps advise them on an upgrade, a new purchase or with some technical support,” says Vivid’s Smith. He adds: “We’ve already increased our stand space at this year’s show, as this gives us a greater presence to show more kit. The British print industry needs its own dedicated show.”

Davies concludes: “The Print Show has been designed as an event not only for the thousands of visitors to locate growth solutions, but also for the exhibiting companies to meet and speak with audiences that are 100 percent relevant to their business.”
