Sign and Digital UK will see Roland DG UK unleash an array of new technology that covers three key growth sector of the sign and wide-format print industries: personalisation and promotional print, soft signage, and high-volume printing

“Visitors will be able to view the latest addition to Roland DG’s VersaUV series of UV-LED flatbed inkjet printers, the LEF-300, for the first time at the show,” reveals Sarah Lyons, marketing manager, Roland DG (UK).

She adds: “The LEF-300 is Roland’s largest, fastest and most productive desktop flatbed UV printer yet, with exciting production-boosting features that include: a 770mm wide printing area, four print heads and two UV-LED lamps for fast bi-directional direct printing, a vacuum table, and the new Roland VersaWorks Dual RIP software.”

Indeed, along with textile printing for soft signage production, the personalised and promotional product sector is one of the fastest growing in the sign and wide-format industries. This has been spurred by end -consumers, marketers, brand owners, and company owners that want everything from branded USB sticks to personalised phone covers so they can showcase their individualism or increase brand awareness.

Roland’s approach to exhibition strategy at Sign and Digital UK seems well aligned with market forces, as the other cornerstone of its offering will be to cater for the aforementioned textile printing arena.

Lyons continues: “The Texart XT-640 is the latest edition to the Roland DG range of dye-sublimation transfer printers, designed for professionals in the dye-sublimation market, delivering fast print speeds of up to 63sq m/h; ideal for a demanding production environment. Roland’s accompanying range of Texart Inks can be set up as a 4-colour (dual CMYK) or 8 colour (CMYKLcLmOrVi) ink configuration delivering a wide colour gamut.”

The LEF-300 is Roland’s largest, fastest and most productive desktop flatbed UV printer yet,

Leaving no stone unturned, Roland DG will also be showcasing the Soljet EJ-640 at Sign and Digital UK, which Roland says has been designed with ‘cost-efficient and high-performance productivity in mind’.

“With dual staggered print heads, an integrated tri-heater system and strong chassis, the EJ-640 is built for optimum performance for businesses working on high-volume output,” comments Lyons.

Those who visit Roland’s stand will also stand the chance of winning this technology by entering its ‘Scratch and Win Prize Draw’. Runners up will also be able to take away sets of Eco-Sol Max 3 inks or a place on a Roland Academy training course.
