Epson to shine at textile event

As the print for textiles market moves from strength to strength, manufacturers and print service providers in this field are seeing a growing benefit in attending trade shows, including Messe Frankfurt’s Heimtextil.

Epson will be demonstrating the potential of their machines in the textile market at Heimtextil this year

Last year the show attracted 67,000 trade visitors from 133 countries, featuring manufactures, retailers, and designers from across the textile industry, and the next show—running from January 14th to 17th—is equally highly anticipated.

One company using this opportunity to showcase its equipment is Epson, which says its inkjet printers and inks are ideal for bespoke, short run interior décor products.

At the show, Epson will be demonstrating its Stylus Pro 4900 and SureColor SC-F7100 dye-sublimation printer and SureColor SC-T5200D double-roll printer, showing how the machines can be used for a range of applications, from digital direct-to-textile, direct-to-cushion cover and wallpaper printing, as well as the potential of printing on a wide variety of substrates, such as glass, metal, and plastic.

Designer Briony Benge-Abbott will be present to demonstrate how she prints her designs directly onto cotton cushion covers using the table-top SureColor SC-F2000 direct-to-textile printer.

It’s exciting to see how, in today’s increasingly customised world, digitally-printed interior decor is transforming the spaces we live, work, and play in

To show the extent of its possibilities, Epson also promises its entire stand at Heimtextil, from the curtains, lampshades, cushions, upholstery, tables, chairs, and wallpaper, will be digitally printed on Epson machines.

Richard Barrow, product manager at Epson Europe comments: “It’s exciting to see how, in today’s increasingly customised world, digitally-printed interior decor is transforming the spaces we live, work, and play in.

“At Heimtextil, we’ll show how Epson inkjet printers and inks bring new levels of creativity and production benefits to the sector and inspire new applications.”

Clearly, avenues for expansion into the bespoke textile printing market are opening up for large format print services providers, and a trip to Heimtextil this New Year may be the inspiration needed.
