The launch comes as the company enters its 20th year in business and Ruben Rengel, senior vice-president of global business development, comments: “Energy saving is a virtue, but environmental protection is an attitude. This is our attitude. It’s what the earth deserves.”

Under the Absen Green banner, the company will use only sustainable, environmentally friendly materials and adhere to rigorous safety standards to reduce impact on the earth.

Over the last five years, the company has also saved 700,000 tonnes of CO2 through its energy efficiency programme, making it a carbon neutral business.

The four-pronged approach making this energy saving possible comprises of LED common cathode technology which reduces energy consumption and heat output by more than 20%; high-efficiency power supply which offers energy conversion efficiency of near to 90%; LED lamps with high luminous efficiency; and a heat-dissipation design reduce the power consumption of the display’s internal circuits.

Over in the manufacturing process, Absen uses eco-friendly raw materials which comply with the European Union’s RoHS 2.0 directive restricting the use of hazardous substances.

Rengel adds: “From using only environmentally friendly materials to reducing energy usage, waste, and light and sound pollution, the initiatives set our under Absen Green show how Absen is meeting responsibilities to the planet and humanity.

“The adverse effects of climate change are undeniable, and we want to be part of the solution, now and into the future.”
