Lintec sets sustainable focus for FESPA 2018

Lintec Europe will use the FESPA Global Print Expo 2018 as a platform to launch its new Re-Pop RE505S Recycled clear, lightweight, dry apply film, and showcase how the product can help sign-makers bolster their green image.

Re-Pop RE505S Recycled is primarily aimed at the point-of-sale and retail areas of the market, designed for short-term promotional campaigns. The film is also the first from the company to be manufactured with a minimum 80 percent PET material.

Lintec says the new film “addresses quality and environmental issues associated with traditional, highly plasticised cling PVC window films”, adding that it is durable, and offers see-through and dimensional stability qualities.

“Sustainability and environmentally friendly practices are topics of great interest, a trend that is no doubt being driven by an increased awareness and a desire to ‘go green’.

“As a result, businesses are becoming more environmentally conscious and a growing number of customers are requesting more eco-friendly substrates. Re-Pop is one of these products.”

Voss adds: “Re-Pop’s features and properties are reflective of this. The facestock comprises over 80 percent of recycled PET materials in its content, which derives from discarded plastic bottles.

“This recycling method reduces the consumption of petroleum resources, as well as resulting in a 24 percent reduction in C02 during the manufacturing process.”
