3M envisions greener future

One of the criticisms of material used in wrapping vehicles has been its impact on the environment, with much of it ending up in land fill sites.

The 3M Envision print wrap film was used to wrap Briers’ vehicles to coincide with the company’s ethos

Now that is set to change with 3M’s non-PVC film, which is being used on a fleet of lorries run by a recycling firm.

Positive Design specified the new non-PVC Envision print wrap film SV480Cv3 for a project to wrap the latest addition to a set of vehicles at Briers, a Tamworth waste management and recycling business.

Strong environmental credentials are increasingly important in all businesses

James Nicholls at Positive Design comments: "As a specialist in vehicle wrapping and associated signage and graphics applications, we look closely at new materials that come to market and we were confident that the new 3M film would be ideal for this and future similar projects undertaken on behalf of Briers."

Senior marketing executive at 3M commercial graphics division, Pen Webley, adds: "Strong environmental credentials are increasingly important in all businesses and our new non-PVC film will enable these to demonstrate their commitment to the environment through a range of signage and graphics options."

The wrap features a bright, vibrant leafy theme to reflect the environmental credentials of both the company and also the 3M film.

The 3M Envision Print Wrap Film SV480Cv3 is a phthalate-free, non-PVC film with no added chlorine or halogens and 58 percent less solvents than conventional films.
