PPB has launched a range of industrial plastics including Lumex G (PETG)

Lumex G has been designed for thermoforming and hot line bending applications, and not crystalise when thermoformed. Vacuum forming can be done without the need to pre-dry and with shorter cycle times, saving energy.

The plastic has been approved for use in medical and food applications, and is also ideal for signage, display, and point-of-sale (POS) applications due to its strength. PPB also claim the material is 150 times stronger than glass. It comes in special finishes such as dense white, gloss black, and opal.

The launch of the new range is already proving highly successful with substantial quantities of stock sold in the last 6 months

The 100 percent recyclable Lumex A has been designed for cost-effective flat and arched POS/POP and signage applications. It is ideal for drink and cosmetic bottles, and is available in anti-glare and opal finishes.

“The launch of the new range is already proving highly successful with substantial quantities of stock sold in the last 6 months,” says Richard Proctor, managing director of PPB, who adds: “Our in-house conversion facility including our Schelling Saw and Cauhe Guillotine means we can convert stock sizes to bespoke requirements with a tolerance of + or – 0.5mm accuracy. Many of our clients are using this facility to cut sheets to the final job size required.”
