Zeta took the accolade for its environmentally-friendly Solar Signage Kit, which is billed as, ‘a bespoke solution for lighting outdoor totems and monoliths’. It entails hidden and flexible PV solar cells, embedded LED light and guide panels, a PS800 control system, long-life batteries, and PIR movement sensors if required’.

“We are delighted to win this award and receive recognition from some of the industry’s most respected sign-makers,” says sales and marketing director Adrian Dennis, who added: “Our dedication to innovation and continuous investment in research and development has enabled us to establish strong partnerships with a number of sign-makers and we work closely with them to deliver bespoke solar lighting solutions for projects where cost and speed of installation are critical factors.”

The new initiative is designed to help celebrate the UK sign industry and create a central event each year that pays homage to the technical and creative brilliance of its members.

Organised by the British Sign and Graphics Association (BSGA), 2014 saw 250 nominations and entrees to the awards. Each was judged by a panel of sign-makers who considered them on ‘machine, material, component, technology and service’ criteria.

Zeta’s technology has most recently been installed into Liverpool ONE shopping precinct and The Pier Head on the Liverpool Waterfront by signage manufacturer IS Group.
