The out-of-home (OOH) media company will work with councils in Southampton, Solihull and Haringey.
The digital screens will feature advertising as well as a number of dedicated community information panels in Southampton which the council will use to display locally relevant messages.

In addition to delivering the new street furniture, the OOH firm has committed a sum of money to be used as a community investment fund.

The funding was a key part of the proposals to local authorities and are set to make a positive difference through a number of projects chosen by local authorities.

We’re excited to [help] bring real tangible change to local areas

The projects will be brought to life with help from Clear Channel’s partner Trees for Cities. The OOH firm has a long-standing partnership with Trees for Cities and has completed various environmental work such as planting street trees and building community gardens.

“We’re excited to be working with these three local councils in the coming months, helping bring real tangible change to local areas,” says Justin Cochrane, chief executive officer of Clear Channel.

“As well as installing free-standing advertising units, as a responsible media owner we are committed to limiting our environmental impact and continuing our successful track record of working with councils to improve local communities through our community investment funds,” Cochrane concludes.
