Payote has invested in a HP Stitch S500 to offer personalisation for its espadrilles

Payote is a manufacturer of the popular summer shoe style, espadrilles, down in the sunny south of France. The company was founded in 2016 and has now enhanced its style with the investment in the HP Stitch – through personalisation.

The new designs and fabrics are created and printed in Perpignan, and Payote manufactures the espadrilles itself in the Megam workshop in Mauléon, capital of Soule, in the French Basque Country.

An increased demand for personalisation resulted in Payote looking for a textile printer to handle shorter print runs, while remaining cost efficient. After some research, the French shoemaker invested in the Stitch in June.

Personalisation is essential for our business, and our customer demand is strong for this type of product

Olivier Felly, founder and director of Payote, explains: “Personalisation is essential for our business, and our customer demand is strong for this type of product. With the integration of HP Stitch S500, we are now able to respond quickly to personalised requests, while maintaining high quality standards.”

The HP Stitch S500 boasts a symmetrical 2 x CMYK printhead configuration and lens support sensor. Measuring 64”, the HP Stitch also has a focus on reducing waste and improving task productivity.
