Scheduled to open in March this year, the 3,500sq ft facility in Rugby will be used to showcase its technology to customers both from the UK and Europe.

The showroom will house the latest wide-format inkjet printers and presses, as well as a bespoke demonstration and training area for Agfa’s Asanti and Apogee software suite.

Agfa will also use the site to demonstrate the latest solutions within its Agfa Radiology Solutions portfolio.

Martin Tew, imaging sales director for the UK and Ireland at Agfa, comments: “The Agfa DR business is enjoying global and UK growth bringing definitive answers to patients in the form of high quality, low dose images.

“The new Rugby showroom will be of extreme importance to us, allowing meetings and demonstrations to be held away from the already overstretched healthcare facilities.

“Customers will be able to see our wide range of Radiology solutions in an impressive, centrally based environment.”

The move comes after Agfa last year closed its printing plate factories in Pont-à-Marcq in France and Leeds in the UK. The Leeds site had served both as a showroom location for inkjet, as well as a base for its Radiology Service arm.
