Visual Group creates signage for Doncaster Pride
Doncaster Pride partnered with Visual Group for its Pride event on Saturday 12th October.

Pride is globally celebrated every year
Visual Group designed, created and installed the entrance sign for the backstage VIP area, featuring rainbow coloured helium balloons which were released into the sky as a display for onlookers after the event had finished.
Pride parades were established to celebrate the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender and queer communities.
Jenny Dewsnap, chair of Doncaster Pride says: “It was quite a talking point and we had lots of photos taken for the event’s backdrop. We can’t thank Visual Group enough for their creativity, brilliance and quality craftsmanship.’’
Pride Parades began after the Stonewall riots in 1969 where police raided a gay bar, Stonewall Inn, in New York City.
On Saturday 27th June 1970, the first pride march took place in Chicago. Hundreds of pride events now take place every year to support the LGBTQ+ communities worldwide.

2019 has witnessed the world celebrating the largest international Pride events in history including the Stonewall 50 - WorldPride NYC 2019 celebrations.
Doncaster Pride was established in 2007 and works all year round to support the LGBTQ + community. The event attracts over 18,000 visitors every year and is a major event for the city.
