Applelec says a customer focused approach has allowed the firm to prepare for post-Brexit business

The firm, which supplies the trade with bespoke fabricated signage, display and lighting products, has over 20 years’ experience in manufacturing. Applelec is taking a “proactive customer focus” to ensure there is minimal disruption following the UK’s departure from the European Union.

Managing director Ian Drinkwater, comments: “Brexit has raised a great deal of uncertainty which Applelec has responded to by safeguarding our UK manufacturing and our ability to respond to customer demand.

“This ensures that we will be less affected than others and guarantees that we can retain our standards and deliver a reliable supply.”

We creatively look for solutions before they are problems, building a reputation of quality and customer support

Having recently expanded its West Yorkshire manufacturing unit, Applelec produces its patented LED Light Sheet there alongside a comprehensive range of products, including built-up letters and LED systems for signage.

“We creatively look for solutions before they are problems, building a reputation of quality and customer support, often becoming an extended member of our customers’ team,” adds Drinkwater.

Applelec brought its operations in-house in 2014, operating from its 6.3 acre site in Wharfedale Business Park in West Yorkshire.

The firm joined the Made in Britain network of manufacturers in 2017, a scheme that works to support and promote British manufacturing, which also signals to customers at home and abroad British-made products.
