Stephen Fenby of Midwich and his senior management receive a gift from Phil Jones of Brother UK

After Brother UK became the first trade-only print vendor to partner with audio-visual (AV) firm Midwich almost four decades ago, the two firms are celebrating 35 years of partnership.

Midwich provides the full range of Brother UK solutions, including services such as document scanning and managed print services.

During the course of the partnership, Midwich has experienced year-on-year growth of hardware sales – resulting in an overall sales growth of more than 20% to over £570m last year.

Phil Jones MBE, managing director of Brother UK, remembers looking after Midwich in the early days of his career as a salesperson. He says: “I could see they were destined for big things. They’ve always been customer and market-focused, with progressive management teams and a strong bias for action.”

Our 35-year partnership has been built on our strong relationship, shared values and passion for service

Jones goes on to describe Midwich’s international presence as a testament to the way the business is run and adds: “Our 35-year partnership has been built on our strong relationship, shared values and passion for service. I’m genuinely delighted to witness their continuing success, long may that continue.”

Stephen Fenby, managing director at Midwich Group, comments: “The last four decades have been a fantastic journey for our company as we have expanded into new sectors and markets across the world.

“Having a partner like Brother by our side has been a cornerstone of this success. The strength of their product innovation is matched by the way they work, in everything from technical support to their relentless pursuit of excellence and the very best service. Here’s to the next 40 years.”

To celebrate the milestone, Phil Jones presented a traditional Japanese Daruma figure to Stephen Fenby and his senior management team.
