The BMC programme is a global initiative to recognise private companies’ successes in management and business performance.

The programme has been introduced in many countries including Ireland, the Netherlands, Turkey, Mexico and Chile.

Deloitte China initiated the programme in China in August 2018 in cooperation with Bank of Singapore, the Business School of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Harvard Business Review and the Federation of Shenzhen Commerce.

“By launching the first BMC programme in China, Deloitte worked with partners in various sectors to nominate candidates, review candidates’ information, organise the best managed CEO lab on-site review and mentorship, and arrange reviews by an independent review committee,” explains Zhao Jian, lead partner of the BMC programme.

Commenting on the award, chief financing officer of Absen, Chelsea Huang says: “The BMC Awards examines every facet of an organisation and we are very proud that Absen fulfils all of the requirements.

This prestigious award is a fantastic recognition for the overall success of Absen

“This prestigious award is a fantastic recognition for the overall success of Absen, based on the clear strategic direction and organisational structure, outstanding financial performance, strong risk management ability and inspiring corporate culture.”

A judging panel, consisting of over 40 experts from Deloitte and Bank of Singapore, evaluated the entire management team and business strategy of each candidate.

Following six months of reviews, interviews and specialist research, Absen was recognised as one of the best managed companies due to its “industry leadership, global thinking, long-term strategy, innovative development” as well as its focus on its staff.

Out of 80 candidates from different industries around the country, only 23 were named as China’s best managed companies.

Absen was recognised at a gala dinner of the inaugural BMC Awards in China on March 21st, 2019.
