Mayura Joshi, owner of Signs Express Colchester and Chelmsford

Mayura Joshi recently became the owner of Signs Express Colchester & Chelmsford and opened the centre at the end of 2018.

“Workers in the industry are predominantly male, so the introduction on another female business owner to the Signs Express network perfectly complements the 2019 International Women’s Day theme, ‘Balance for better’,” says the franchise.

Having graduated from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management in New Delhi with a master’s degree in management, Joshi is joining the sign industry with 11 years’ experience in corporate management.

I genuinely believe that it’s a ‘person’ that gets the job done, it doesn’t matter if you are male or female

The opening of Signs Express Colchester & Chelmsford brings new opportunities for local businesses and surrounding areas such as Clacton, Frinton, Witham, and Maldon, to benefit from the firm’s signage solutions.

Commenting on her achievement, Joshi says: “I’m incredibly keen to establish the Signs Express brand in Colchester & Chelmsford and deliver the best possible service to our customers. I find it quite amusing when I regularly come across people who are surprised at the fact that not only do I run a signage company, but I also do it single-handedly.

“I genuinely believe that it’s a ‘person’ that gets the job done, it doesn’t matter if you are male or female.”

“I’m so pleased to see more women progressing into what has always been a male-dominated industry,” adds Jonathan Bean, managing director of Signs Express. “Mayura’s tenacity and eagerness gives me every confidence that she’ll do a fantastic job of leading the franchise in supporting Colchester and Chelmsford’s local businesses with their signage needs.”
