Ricoh hope to disrupt decoration market

Ricoh has announced that it will be sparring with the big dogs as it distributes its first UV flatbed printer to the UK and Europe. It is not the first name that comes to mind when thinking of flatbed technology, so Ricoh’s introduction will provide an interesting story.

The Ricoh Pro T7210 is the manufacturer’s first UV flatbed printer

The printer was originally announced last year, but the manufacturer has now rolled out the operation to cater for British and European firms.

Both printers and sign-makers will benefit from the Ricoh Pro T7210 because of its size and versatility. Ricoh has aimed to disrupt the industrial decoration market, something that many sign-makers are trying to diversify into thanks to the abundance of opportunities. The T7210 has been specifically designed for sign-makes and printers that have a need for greater personalisation and customisation, smaller lot size flexibility and expanded material versatility.

Incorporating Ricoh’s own leading inkjet technology, it is designed to inspire user confidence. And provides new potential and value to a fast-evolving market sector.”

Credentials include printing on one board or a variety of pre-cut panels up to 110mm thick and has a maximum print size of 2.1m x 3.2m.

The Ricoh Pro T7210 was rolled out officially at the beginning of this year.
