PPB has acquired NE Plastics in a move that will help expand the business to the south of the UK

Based in Leicester and Leeds, PPB provides point-of-purchase materials and substrates to the screen print, digital, industrial plastics, and large-format markets. NE Plastics strengthens PPB’s portfolio as a flat sheet plastic supplier.

“We are delighted to welcome NE Plastics to the PPB family,” says Richard Proctor, director of PPB, adding: “NE Plastics is a great business with a reputation for good service and honest dealings. This acquisition will allow customers to benefit from a wider choice of products and services, including state of the art conversion facilities.

“Stock levels and servicing will be enhanced by our national distribution network serviced by a new fleet of vehicles. Customers can be assured that it is business as usual, but with the ongoing security of dealing with a larger scale business that is investing in this growing sector.”

Combining the two businesses will take the group turnover to over £30m in the coming months. With both companies having expertise in fabrication, cutting, and finishing, the move will open new doors to provide more for new and existing customers.

Nick Warne, managing director of NE Plastics, adds: “The purchase of NE Plastics by PPB is a very strong signal for continuity and an additional reason for complete confidence in us as a supply partner.”
