Irpen UK, manufacturers of Cast Acrylic Sheet and distributor of plastic sheets, has continued its ambitious growth plans with a move to a new building that is twice the size of its previous premises.

In November, the company moved into a 16,500sq ft warehouse just down the road from its old building in Wednesbury in the West Midlands.

General manager of Irpen UK, Mike Vince, explains the thinking behind the relocation: “We have been in the same unit for about 20 years but it was only 7,000sq ft in size. Our business has grown over the last two years and we were desperate for more space, so we took the opportunity to move to a larger building.

“We can now hold a wider range of materials because we have much more space. This means we can increase our offering for our Cast Acrylic, plus we can bring in new products such as our Aluminium Composites and Polycarbonates. In the reception area we have our own showroom which is useful, and it is also better for our staff because our office facilities are much better.”

Irpen UK recently became a partner for First Lite, which means it now supplies LED modules and accessories from stock. Products include LED modules, reels, drivers, and accessories such as connectors, cables, controllers and switches, and crimp tools. Complementing its Policril Cast Acrylic range, Irpen UK highlights LED lighting’s energy efficiency, reduction of CO2 emissions, and reduction of heat as positive features.

Irpen UK has other new products to showcase to its customers including its Iribond Steel Composite Panel and magnetic printable vinyl, offering enhanced flexibility to customers.

Vince is happy with Irpen UK’s progression, concluding: “I joined the company in September 2015 and put a plan together to move Irpen forward. In just over two years, we have gone from a turnover of £1.6m to around £3.3m, so we are moving in the right direction.”
