Newman “passionate” about new role

In an exclusive interview with Signlink, Brett Newman has explained his excitement ahead of a new challenge with Hybrid Services.

Brett Newman says that he will focus on maintaining the excellent customer service offered by Hybrid Services

Newman has joined the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor of Mimaki equipment, as the new chief operations manager, in a surprise move from major rivals Roland DG UK. While not unheard of, such a top-level management move in this sector is rare, and Roland has yet to comment on it.

The newly appointed manager has more than two decades of knowledge and experience within the industry, including a 16-year stint at Roland DG. Newman will take this wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm with him into his new role.

He comments: “I’m going to take all of my personality, passion and dedication with me into Hybrid. Those who know me, know that that is me. I’m very passionate about what I do and I’m dedicated – I don’t often stop until I’ve done it right.

Newman has set himself a number of personal goals for what he would like to achieve during his time at Hybrid. He explains: “I will focus on support, because that’s the bit that effects the customer directly, and that is where my initial focus will be.”

On how he will achieve these goals as the new chief operations manager, Newman continues: “Ultimately, we want everybody to get the reward of working with Hybrid and using a Mimaki product. Everybody is in business to earn a living, and we want to make sure that our resellers have got the support from Hybrid to sell the brand, and that the end-users can get the most out of the machine, grow their business, and be profitable. We want to continue offering excellent customer service to resellers and the end-users.”

Newman concludes: “In this industry, it’s about product, and Mimaki has world-class beating products, which focus on constant development and constant growth. Hybrid has expert staff, with knowledge across all sectors they operate in. This means we will always have the latest in technology, which is easy to use and people want to use, and it will ultimately help their business.”
