The William Smith Group 1832 will now house three sectors, each with different focuses

The company will now operate under the name of William Smith Group 1832. There will be three different branches including William Smith, trade supplier of vinyl films; Smith Sign and Display, and Architextural, which supports architectural and building-related firms. This sector was only recently launched by the company.

Head of marketing, Chris Bradley, says: “Following a sustained period of growth and to reflect the dynamic nature of the markets we operate in, we have taken the strategic decision to slightly change how our company brands are presented.

“We felt the influx of the variety of products on offer to our customers required different messaging, to ensure the appropriate content was reaching the right audience.

Following a sustained period of growth and to reflect the dynamic nature of the markets we operate in, we have taken the strategic decision to slightly change how our company brands are presented

“For example, we now have a team that looks after Architextural, so they’re more focused at architects and interior designers, as we need to be talking about those specific products to those markets to help raise awareness.”

The move has been planned for some time, with the new group logo representing the Company’s wealth of experience.

Bradley continues: “We are fiercely proud of our 185 years of experience and dedication to customer service, so we wanted to reflect this by adding our year of establishment to the new name. This change marks a highpoint for us in our history.”

He finishes: “The Smith and William Smith brand still very much exist, each with their own logos, but William Smith now relates directly to distribution and materials, and Smith to trade manufacturing.”
