EFI made big waves at Drupa with its Nozomi press

The firm, which specialises in customer-focused digital printing innovation, has announced a record second quarter for 2016, with revenue of £189.49m.

This figure, up 21 percent compared to the second quarter of 2015, provides real reassurance to the global firm in the midst of uncertain financial and political times.

Guy Gecht, chief executive officer of EFI, comments: “The EFI team delivered a solid quarter despite the disruption caused by global events during the last week of the quarter.

“At the same time, EFI’s market position at the drupa tradeshow validated both our strategy and product roadmap, and we’re particularly encouraged by the exceptional reception to our new Nozomi platform.

The drupa momentum is feeding into the strength we are seeing in the Industrial Inkjet and Productivity Software segments, which keep us on track to deliver our stated goal of $1 billion in revenues for the year

EFI’s overall revenue figure for this year so far is equally promising. For the six months ending June 30th 2016, the company reported revenue of £370m, up 21 percent year-over-year compared to £306.3m for the same period in 2015.

EFI recently revealed it had moved to further strengthen its textile print offering after completing the acquisition of integrated 3D design software supplier, Optitex, and detailed there would be more buy-outs on the horizon in 2016.
