The company has invested more than £2m in new equipment since early 2013 in order to cater for demand from a customer list that includes major brands such as Tesco and Specsavers.

The investment ensured that SPS Group became the first POS printer in the UK to have two HP Scitex FB10,000 running on site.

Toby Martin, managing director of the firm, comments: “We are really excited to align our growth with clients’ feedback.

“Our continued investment programme is allowing us to keep at the front of technology and offer an end to end solution that solves key retail marketing challenges”.

In addition to the new Scitex, SBS’s investment programme has also seen the introduction of a Redline RL-2100 die cutting machine as well as two large-format Latex HP Design Jet L26500 presses.

While the investment programme has seen various new pieces of kit installed, SBS also expanded its workforce during 2013 with a recruitment programme.

The initiative saw staff added to the business development, graphic design, marketing and account manager departments.

As a result of this, SBS added a number of new clients while turnover for 2013 increased by 35 percent, with this set to increase even further this year.
