Graphics and signage specialist Novograf recently joined forces with leading restaurant chain Nando’s on a major project that saw protection screens installed at locations around the UK.

More than 800 screens were installed across the Nando’s UK network

Novograf produced a heart-shaped counter protection screen for more than 400 Nando’s restaurants throughout the UK to help protect staff and customers amid the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The acrylic red shaped heart slotted into a base made of solid oak and weighing more than 15kg.

Over 800 screens were installed in total, while screens were also placed inside the Nando’s head office in London.

Nando’s spokesperson Pippa Slater says: “We asked Novograf to produce a servery protection screen that was bold and eye-catching, yet created a safe zone for staff and customers to operate in.

“The heart shaped Covid-19 screen is a superb example of how to create style with functionality whilst maintaining our brand and the Nando’s feel.

“We required a quick turnaround and were aware of the lack of availability of materials. However, Novograf worked with us and pulled out all the stops to produce the screens and deliver on time.

“This meant that we could open our restaurants as per our schedule, knowing that our staff and customers are fully protected at the servery area at all times.”
