The board offers a sustainable display solution

Designed for point-of-sale, shop-fit and exhibition display applications, the board is a closed-cell fibre-board and is suitable for repulping once finished with. The range from Xanita supports growing demand from consumers and small businesses to seek more environmentally-friendly resources, whilst retaining quality.

The board is made from 100% post-consumer kraft and sugar cane waste in the core, which is fully recyclable alongside normal paper waste. The board is plastic-free, uses VOC-free adhesives and FSC-sourced liners and is ECF-certified – offering a practical, non-toxic alternative to plastic in these types of applications.

… the benefits delivered through Xanita board’s sustainability and strength makes it an ideal solution for a wide range of signage and display applications

Paul Neale, visual communications product manager for rigid and synthetic sheets, comments: “At this turning point, with the spotlight firmly on the importance of sustainable options and the move away from plastic, the benefits delivered through Xanita board’s sustainability and strength makes it an ideal solution for a wide range of signage and display applications.”

The board from South African manufacturers Xanita offers a viable alternative for retail fit-outs and displays, where heavy medium-density fibeboard makes it difficult to install and honeycomb boards lose stability, thanks to its closed-cell core.

The board is also moisture-resistant allowing for its use in indoor hanging signage where flatness can be an issue. It has even been used in furniture design to demonstrate its strength.

Neale adds: “The launch of Xanita within our visual communication portfolio is an exceptional new offering for our customers and we are thrilled to pick up the sustainability mantle and be the first in the UK to bring this innovative product to the market.

“We are expecting an incredibly positive response from our customers, who are under pressure to go plastic-free and opt for sustainable visual applications that don’t compromise on quality.”
