BrightSign pays tribute with 9/11 project

Digital signage media player specialist BrightSign recently joined forces with C&G Partners for a special exhibition in New York, highlighting the sporting world’s response to the 9/11 terror attacks in 2011.

The exhibition opened in the summer and will run through to spring 2019

The ‘Comeback Season: Sports After 9/11’ exhibition is being held at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York, US, showcasing the role sports had to play in the wake of the attacks.

Digital media is a central element of the project and BrightSign’s XT1143 players are being used to power video and audio distribution throughout the exhibition. The media players distribute nine custom-made, short documentaries to large monitors located in various stations.
BrightSign-enabled projection also features in the Halftime digital installation, a large-scale projection map of fan-made ephemera showing the evolution of fan sentiment following 9/11.

The company has been working with the National September 11 Memorial & Museum for a number of years, providing its media players for permanent exhibitions at the facility.
