Bulldog barber adorns window display

When tasked with creating window graphics for a fashion-forward hairdressing salon, A and N Signs wanted a material that would produce a high-quality result and would work with the client’s specific needs.

“It’s a great piece of work and the graphics really pop thanks to the quality of printing and the imaginative construction,” says Metamark

Rotherham-based A and N Signs’ Andrew Aldham said he turned to Metamark for the job for hair salon Darc’r gets Toxic, which is based in the same area.

Metamark explains in a statement: “Darc’r gets Toxic is an über-trendy hairdressing salon in Rotherham and it came to A and N Signs looking for some window graphics of a very particular flavour. Something with a bulldog, a barber obviously, with overtones of steampunk grounding the design. You’re right. It’s not every day one of those comes along.”

Andrew turned to Metamark MD3 clear and an unusual construction to do the job

The proposed design featured elements from no fewer than four sources of origination blended into one cohesive and, as Metamark describes it, “hipster-like design”.

The company continues: “Andrew turned to Metamark MD3 clear and an unusual construction to do the job. The graphics were printed in reverse and backed up with MD3 white. The finished printed elements were next contour cut by hand and then applied to the salon’s windows. It’s a great piece of work and the graphics really pop thanks to the quality of printing and the imaginative construction.”

Metamark MD3 digital vinyl is ideal for medium-term applications including point-of-sale, signage, exhibition and display, vehicle graphics, and applications on mostly flat or gently curved surfaces. It has a durability of five years.
