Intense innovation keeps boom rolling

The recently concluded German-national trade show for the sign-making and large-format printing industries, Wetec, proved that continued innovation from material manufacturers is driving a sustained boom in markets such as vehicle graphics and interior retail décor.

APA has returned from Wetec citing a significantly increased demand for speciality media for sign-making and vehicle wrapping

One of its key exhibitors, Italian speciality vinyl and graphic arts media manufacturer, APA, has explained a key trend was the immense interest in speciality vehicle wrapping and sign-making materials that offer a “high-impact, ingenious, and startling” and visual solutions.

In addition, it also highlighted a trend that is being seen across Europe, where haulage fleet owners are increasingly looking to cash in on the massive mobile billboards that their trucks become when on the road. As a result, APA Truck has been developed specifically curtain sided vehicles in a gloss finish.

The gloss white version of the AP/290 truck film is now available to purchase, featuring the same APA-Coltruck/Ultra-P Plus dedicated adhesive as its sister products.

The new product guarantees an excellent welding capability and a high degree of resistance against stresses to which PVC curtains are exposed every day

APA Truck films are in use across a range of vehicle wrap jobs in APA’s native Italy and further afield.

APA says of the product: “The new product guarantees an excellent welding capability and a high degree of resistance against stresses to which PVC curtains are exposed every day.

“The film also boasts an outstanding printability in its gloss, lamination finish by ensuring a remarkable coverage and a bright veneer with vivid, brilliant and well-defined colours, even against dark backgrounds.”
