Press On taps into goldmine

Large-format digital printing company, Press On, recently completed a luxury project with out-of-home media client, Limited Space, for Paco Rabanne’s fragrances, 1 Million and Lady Million. The amazingly high-spec of the project gives further to a building trend that is seeing major brands continue to invest heavily in printed marketing applications to tie in with the luxury stature of their brand.

Press On worked with Verifone and Limited Space on two projects for Paco Rabanne’s #LetItGold campaign

Press On printed and installed a range of out-of-home media including atrium banners, Orbit digital screen graphics, and a ceiling graphic for the perfume brand’s #LetItGold campaign. The output was seen across many locations including Westfield London, Manchester Arndale, and Bullring Birmingham.

The ceiling graphic measured a staggering 12.2 x 22.9m and was printed to Blockout fire rated vinyl with a matt laminate. It was installed at the Bullring and attracted much attention as it could be seen from all three shopping levels.

The Orbit digital screen seen at Manchester Arndale was printed on removable vinyl with a matt laminate, while the two banners measuring 3 x 5m each were printed to a double sided white banner material with a thin layer in between to make it Blockout on Press On’s HP Latex 3500.

The HP Latex 3500 is ideal for efficient high-volume production and has increased production capacity with heavy-duty rolls and ten litre ink. HP Latex prints are cured inside the printer, forming a durable print that is ready for instant finishing, lamination, shipment, or display.

Limited Space is an extremely innovative client to work with and our cutting-edge digital processes also allow us to print several artwork solutions for the same campaign to further the creative appeal

“Limited Space is an extremely innovative client to work with and our cutting-edge digital processes also allow us to print several artwork solutions for the same campaign to further the creative appeal,” says Press On managing director, Andy Wilson.

Press On also worked with taxi advertising media company, Verifone Media, to extend the perfume campaign. The project consisted of 41 liveries, 20 of which were regional and sent to Manchester and Liverpool while 21 remained in London.

The taxis were printed to a polymeric, conformable vinyl complete with gloss laminate on top, enabling the vinyl to be heated and shaped to the contours of the taxi and not shrink back flat afterwards.

Wilson comments: “Verifone require a quick turnaround for print and delivery of their client’s graphics to ensure taxis are off the road for as little as possible. Our state of the art machinery produces high quality vinyls and due to the frequency of campaigns, we have introduced some major technical advancements in terms of production and delivery logistics to help them meet even tighter deadlines.”
