3M celebrates pursuit of speed

In a move to further strengthen its brand awareness and capitalise on a huge growth in the automotive personalisation sector, 3M recently went full throttle at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

3M were involved of wrapping and branding everything from track beasts to boy racer hot hatches at The Goodwood Festival of Speed

The event attracts petrol heads, classic car collectors, celebrities, and racing enthusiasts from around the world—all to celebrate human kinds pursuit of perfecting the motorcar.

3M’s association with the event saw it put on a series of live wrapping and vehicle personalisation demonstrations, as it seeks to build up its own wrapping eco-system that is fronted by its Wrap Your Curves initiative and 3M Authorised Vehicle Wrapper network.

3M vehicle wrapping products showcased included the recently launched Wrap Film Series 1380 that provides enhanced conformability when used to wrap vehicles with deep or difficult-to-access recesses.

Other films demonstrated included Controltac Graphic Film Series IJ180, Envision Print Wrap Film IJ480 and the Wrap Film Series 1080 of self-coloured films. A range of products for paint defect rectification, finishing and maintenance were shown alongside the 3M vehicle wrapping solutions demonstrated.

3M also organised a series of competitions that provided visitors with the opportunity to win a comprehensive 3M Car Wrapping Kit. This included all of the tools necessary for vehicle personalisation and customisation.
