Graham Sims of Specialized Signs in Edinburgh explains: “We undertook a pretty big building wrap for The Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) at the Royal Highland Games site. It was 140sqm of aluminium composite fixed directly to the cladding of the building.”



The sign firm waived the invoice for the rural charity that educates children about agriculture north of the border in return for having their logo on a sign on the roof. It was part of a job lot of signs for the Royal Highland Show completed in nine days.



Sims explains: “One of the signs were a folded Dibond sign tray wrapped with reflective vinyls with our flat-bed applicator and over laid with vinyl graphics. It had a full aluminium back tray as it spanned between several huge steel H-beams, which we used a mag drill to core out over 100 12mm diameter holes.



“It was so that we could bolt the back can on before slipping over the folded Dibond face. We also supplied and installed several huge 6 x 3m post and panel signs with 200mm diameter posts.”
