The firm was asked by the Lincoln’s DoubleTree by Hilton hotel to produce signage for its two on-site eating and drinking facilities, the Electric Bar and Restaurant and Brayford Café and Bar.

Work included designing stainless steel letters, which were then cut out and painted to match external window framework.

Internal LED illumination was also included to provide a halo effect for the signs—a contemporary, electric-blue colour for the Electric facility, and an eye-catching orange for Brayford.

Allen Signs had worked with the hotel on previous projects, where it supplied internal signage and bespoke iPad-style menu holders—and the success of this earlier work led to the firm receiving the latest sign-making project.
