Euro Trophex is the only dedicated international show for the trophy, awards, engraving, and personalisation industry, with a wide range of exhibitors representing a wide variety of products and services. It is not only the trophy sector but many other areas to inspire you with profitable business ideas, including engraving machines and materials, glass and crystal, sublimation, photo imaging, badges, pins, giftware, signage, lasers, decals, embroidery, gifts, promotional merchandise, and many more profit making lines.

The show provides an opportunity for visitors to see all the latest products and equipment on the market, as well as getting a closer look at the latest innovations and enhancements that are taking place in the industry. Live demonstrations will take place throughout the show to enable visitors to learn more about different machines and what they are capable of, offering an insight into the latest techniques, products, and equipment, to help you plan the direction you would like your business to take in the future.

Colin Gallimore, sales manager at Euro Trophex says: “Euro Trophex attracts both visitors and exhibitors from all over the industry and from around the world. Our last show back in 2014 saw visitors from 70 different countries who were looking to diversify and grow their business, so it’s a dynamic show with an international flair.

New kids on the block

New exhibitors to the 2016 show, that give you a flavour of its diversity, include US company Rayzist, which has exhibited at Trophex (Euro Trophex’s sister show) for the past three years with UK partners, The Glass Scribe. They will be demonstrating sand-carving procedures, and industry tips and techniques. Meanwhile, Pohary Bauer from the Czech Republic will be showing its new line of acrylic and glass trophies, while Trotec will be giving live demonstrations of the Speedy 100, the Speedy 360 flexx, and the entry-level Rayjet.

Visitors to Euro Trophex can see the latest trends and new developments for the coming season

Marloes Middelkamp, marketing manager at Trotec, comments: “Exhibiting at Euro Trophex will give us the opportunity to showcase the diversity and range of our products. We will be demonstrating how to engrave awards and other promotional products so visitors will be able to see for themselves exactly what our machines can do for them.”

Among UK companies exhibiting for the first time this year is laser engraving and cutting machine manufacturer, Lotus Laser Systems; and making a return to the show after a gap of several years is award and trophy manufacturer Swatkins Group.

Essex-based Lotus Laser Systems has specialised in the design and manufacture of laser cutting, engraving, and marking machines for acrylic, wood, metal, and plastics applications for over 20 years. The company will be launching the brand new µMeta (Micro Meta) 20w fibre laser marking system.

“This is the first showing of the Micro Meta,” says Lotus Laser Systems director, Dean Carpenter, adding: “It’s unlikely that there will be any machine at the show that will match it in terms of capability and affordability.”

The Micro Meta is a desktop 20w fiber laser marking machine that offers the capability to mark items at ultra-high speed. The system comes packed with many features, such as a programmable z-axis, automatic pneumatic door, t-slot table, and class one safety enclosure.

“Designed, assembled and tested out of our UK factory, the system offers customers the chance to mark items at ultra high speed without breaking the bank,” Carpenter explains, adding: “This is a versatile system, perfect for most metal marking and some plastic marking applications, and it can be used within a range of industries.”

As well as showing and demonstrating the Micro Meta and other products at Euro Trophex, Lotus Laser Systems will also be taking advantage of the show to seek agents to represent the company throughout Europe.

The hand of experience

The Swatkins Group is a family business that has served the awards and presentation industry for over a century. The company’s experience and knowledge has been built over four generations.

Sales manager, Stephanie Swatkins emphasises: “Swatkins Group is one of the most established award manufacturers in the world, designing and creating awards for 118 years—since 1898; a British company that has truly stood the test of time. We are very proud to still be designing, creating and manufacturing some of the world’s most famous awards and silverware in our purpose built factory in Great Britain.”

Swatkins has been busy designing new handmade awards and has increased its ranges of nickel and silver plated awards, all of which are handmade in the company’s Walsall, West Midlands factory. Several new hand chased awards have also been added to the Supreme and Ultimate collections, offering one of the world’s largest selections of high quality handmade awards available from stock.

One of the recent additions to the Swatkins portfolio is the Revolution range, which will be among the products on show at Euro Trophex.

“The Swatkins Revolution began its world tour in 2015, and comprises British made nickel and silver plated awards that have been designed to compete with Far East imports on price, whilst retaining the quality of British manufacturing,” elaborates Swatkins, adding: “Our new non tarnish nickel plated Revolution cups are perfect for every world market and already selling into over 40 countries in the first year.

“We have not exhibited at Euro Trophex for many years. However, after the great success of our Revolution nickel plates range in 2015, we hope that the exhibition will help us to push the range into more than 50 countries by 2017.”

For sign-makers looking to enhance an existing trophy and award service, or to diversify into a new area, Swatkins Group offers a comprehensive range of products with four catalogues for 2016, a main catalogue, and three other separate catalogues dedicated entirely to crystal awards, golf awards, and trophy cups.

“With over 5,000 products our range is second to none and caters for every trophy or award buyer. And with all of our processes being in-house, our customers can benefit from short-lead times, state-of-the-art technology and a team of skilled craftsmen and women who are dedicated to producing an award that anyone would be extremely proud to receive,” concludes Watkins.

Euro Trophex’s Gallimore sums up the value that can be gained by visiting the show: “You can see free live demonstrations, handle the products, discuss your requirements in person, ask questions and get solutions, see the latest trends and new developments for the coming season, source ideas for your customers and order your next year’s stock at the show.

“You can connect with suppliers both old and new, keep up-to-date with what’s out there and study market changes, learn more from the wide range of exhibitors that are on hand to assist you at the show, discover advances in technology and take advantage of any special offers that exhibitors will have exclusively for Euro Trophex visitors.”
