The UK is in for an exciting spring this year in terms of royal affairs, with the Duchess of Cambridge giving birth to her third child, as well as the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry set for mid-May.

There is plenty to celebrate, but also plenty to keep us occupied in the sign industry as spring is also an important time in the world of signage.

Exhibition season is in full swing with some events just gone, such as ISA Sign Expo (March 22nd to 24th), Digital Signage Expo (March 26th to 29th), Sign and Digital UK (April 24th to 26th) and some just about to kick off, such as FESPA (May 15th to 18th).

Exhibitions are the perfect place to showcase new products to visitors and this is exactly what Agfa, Graphtec GB, and Indasol will be doing, as we found out on page 29. In a UK debut, Agfa will be bringing the Anapurna H1650i LED hybrid press to the show, which serves as a versatile entry-level option for print-service-providers in the wide-format market.

We also heard about Mimaki’s plans for the upcoming FESPA exhibition, where it will take advantage of the growth market of textiles by showcasing its Tiger-1800B. The machine has been designed for high-volume industrial production for the textile market.

We hope to see many of you out at exhibitions this spring!
