Although it is mid-November as I am writing this, I am well and truly in the Christmas spirit, which is quite useful when putting together a December issue of a magazine ahead of time. This may be upsetting for many of you, those who dream of sunny days gone by, but there is no use denying it—Christmas is almost upon us.
Of course, Christmas is also a time of year that can be incredibly busy work-wise, which I am certain many of you will be dealing with right now. However, I urge you to never under-estimate the power of a well-deserved break.

Even a few days out of the office at a trade exhibition such as the recent Signlink Live can do wonders for your business. Smith enjoyed displaying its sign-making prowess and Graphtec GB’s director, Phil Kneale, said about the event: “We were impressed with the quality of the visitors, many of whom had clearly attended with the intention of purchasing new equipment.”
You can read a round up of the show in our Signlink Live Review on page 43. Within it, you will see that the event will get a fresh re-brand for 2018 with a new name, The Sign Show, but all the same sign-focused content of this year’s show.
However, even a trade show, with its exciting special areas and content, is still work, so I hope you take time over the festive period to relax and enjoy time with family and friends.
