Blog Post By Rob Fletcher

Here we go again…

Well, it’s that time of the year again where we start to rush around shopping centres and frantically search the internet for last-minute gifts to bestow upon our loved ones.

While shops are decorated with point-of-sale material just willing us to snap up those late bargains, websites are plastered with a host of adverts directing us to the locations of the best deals of the season.

And although this takes up a lot of a our focus during the festive season, many companies use this time of the year to look back on the past twelve months and reflect on how things have gone.

The last year has been a much more positive place not only in our industry, but the wider world with many of the financial worries of years past seemingly behind us.

It really is great to see that, yet again, our industry has stood up to another period of financial uncertainty and come out the other side fighting as strong as ever

Glancing back through some of the issues of the magazine published in the last year, there seems to be an almost endless supply of stories about companies investing in new kit, diversifying into new sectors, and even expanding their services by moving into new facilities or adding staff to the workforce.

It really is great to see that, yet again, our industry has stood up to another period of financial uncertainty and come out the other side fighting as strong as ever.

Speaking to some senior industry figures, it seems this trend is only set to continue in 2015 and beyond as more companies pull away from the hardship of the last few years and target new growth goals—something that we will continue to focus on here at the magazine.

So, my message for this month is to have a fantastic Christmas, a brilliant New Year and come back in 2015 raring to go in what will inevitably be another eventful year in our great industry!
