Summa and Antalis have come together to fight against a disease that affects millions of people across the globe, and over 2.5m people alone in Britain. Cancer researchers and doctors rely on funding from charities, which the two firms will aid through a unique tactic.

Music for Life, with Studio Brussels radio station, are running the Belgian ‘De Warmste Week’ (The Warmest Week), in aid of helping those with cancer and the prevention through a range of charities. Antalis and Summa have decided to support ‘Kom op tegen Kanker’—a charity that cares for all types of cancer.

The two firms have chosen a unique way of raising the money for the chosen charity. Summa will cut deer head models, using 5mm Forex Lite material, on the F1612, a F Series flatbed cutting system. The cut-outs are then made into a deer head model, which Antalis will sell to raise the money.

The Warmest Week will be broadcast in Belgium, and Antalis will hand over the proceeds raised, on Belgian television. Technical consultant for the paper giant, Tim Geirnaert, says: “In the past we have been confronted first hand with people in our surroundings, fighting against this terrible disease.

“So, for us, it was a logical step to support this particular charity. The choice to cooperate with Summa on this project came naturally as Summa is worldwide known to deliver high-end cutting solutions to a wide range of signage applications. The deer heads look wonderful and will, no doubt, help to raise the intended funding.”
